Our Story

Established in 2011

T. and Jennifer McLeod own and operate McLeod Organics.

In February 2011, T. pursued his dream of helping people to grow organic food. He opened McLeod Organics on a farm in Huntersville, NC, outside of Charlotte. “Farmer T” later expanded into a second building on the property and added organic essential oils, supplements and organic personal care products.

In 2015, Jennifer left her corporate sales career and began working with T. to further develop the business. Together they expanded McLeod Organics into a third building in which they carried organic and local food. They enjoyed great success and gained a faithful customer base.

While they loved their store and their customers in NC, it was time for a change. They longed for a more rural setting and a slower pace. Although T. is a native of Huntersville, he spent summers as a child in the mountains of North Carolina. Jennifer is originally from Roanoke, Virginia and has longed to go back to the mountains. In the summer of 2021, T. and Jennifer relocated to Northeast Tennessee and moved their store to Historic Jonesborough. They found a charming old building right in the middle of downtown that they feel blessed to occupy. The McLeods have narrowed their focus to personal care products and are now the premier health and wellness shop in downtown Jonesborough Tennessee. The people in the area have embraced them and they could not be happier with their new location.
